A Brief Overview of Kenya
Kenya is a multilingual country, with over 62 different languages being spoken throughout the land. Swahili and English are the official languages. There are 13 primary ethnic groups residing in the country while around 13% of the country is of non-African descent.
About half of the population are Christians while there are also Muslim and Hindu minorities among others. Kenyans are group-orientated instead of being individualistic. The extended family is also the basis of social structure while Kenyans are also fairly formal at the dinner table.
