A Brief Overview of Libya

Arabic is the main language spoken in the country, while Tamazight is also spoken by Libyan Berbers. Most Libyans consider themselves Arab, and about 20% of the population is made up of foreign workers. As Arabs, most Libyans are Muslim. In compliance with Islam Law, alcohol was banned. Today it is increasingly common for young couples to set up their own homes.
